Heart #22 goes to...Tarina Tarantino Sparklicity Shimmer Dust

Heart #22 goes to...Tarina Tarantino Sparklicity Shimmer Dust!  And so this is what happens when you pass a pink, sparkly and shimmery display at Sephora with a five year old girl who loves all things pink, sparkly and shimmery!  You buy shimmer dust.  How could you not?  Look at the bottle.  It's so girly and fun.  Everyone needs at least one night out when "adding shimmer and sparkle to bare shoulders, legs, hair and décolleté" is a must!

Heart #20 goes to...Brighton's "Lulu" Straw Bag

Heart #20 goes to...Brighton's "Lulu" Straw bag.  I think this bag is so cute.  I just got an email from Brighton the other day and this was their top selling hot new item.  It's just on my wish list, because right now I can't see spending $160 on a straw bag.  But it is adorable!  I just had to blog about it.  All this snow and cold weather is making me long for a summer vacation...carrying the Lulu straw bag!

Heart #19 goes to...The Naked Bee Hand and Body Lotion

Heart #19 goes to...The Naked Bee Hand and Body Lotion.  I've mentioned before that I love lotions.  I have so many everywhere around me...on my desk at work, in my car, in my pocketbook, next to the kitchen sink, in the bathroom, the list goes on.  I absolutely have to put lotion on my hands all throughout the day.  The Naked Bee sells a delicious smelling lotion.  It's Orange Blossom Honey and once you put it on, I swear you find yourself smelling your hands over and over again.  It smells that good.  I found it in a small little boutique in Florida while on vacation and couldn't find it again, until of course...Amazon.com.  They also have body wash, lip balm, soap, facial moisturizers, facial toners, shampoo and conditioners, travel kits, candles, the list goes on.
The Naked Bee is a great company.  Their motto is "All the Good Stuff, None of the Bad Stuff".  What does that mean?

“All of the good stuff…
70% organic skin conditioning lotion and moisturizer for hand and body
Shampoo & Conditioner with honey and spirulina
Triple milled oatmeal soap with saponified beeswax and guar gum
Organic olive oil, honey and beeswax lip balm
Clean burning 100% paraffin-free palm wax and beeswax travel candle…

…none of the bad stuff.”
Paraben-Free
No propylene glycol or mineral oil
No dyes or pigment
No lauryl or laureth sulfate
Absolutely NO animal testing… ever.

Heart #18 goes to...OPI "You Don't Know Jacques" Nail Polish

Heart #18 goes to OPI's You Don't Know Jacques nail polish.  Hot trend alert for Spring 2010 - the nail color is Putty.  It's a warm neutral color.  There are plenty of different brands that have this color but I chose OPI because the name of the polish was cool.  People Style Watch suggests "keeping nails on the short side, in the classic squoval shape (square with rounded edges)".  Somebody needs a manicure soon!

Heart #17 goes to...Neutrogena Body Oil

Heart #17 goes to...Neutrogena Body Oil Light Sesame Formula!  I love to try all different types of body lotions, oils, creams, and moisturizers.  But the truth is that the best so far at keeping my skin silky smooth is Neutrogena's body oil.  It leaves your skin feeling like silk.  I always put it on right after my shower while my skin is still damp.  As long as I'm using this product, my skin is never rough in the winter.  And the light sesame formula smells so good.

Heart #16 goes to...Parenthood on NBC

Heart #16 goes to Parenthood, a new series on NBC premiering on Tuesday, March 2nd.  I wanted to blog about this show before it started so that nobody would miss the first episode.  I know this show is going to be good...Lauren Graham (Lorelai Gilmore) of the Gilmore Girls is on it!!  I loved her on the Gilmore Girls and from what I've been reading about this show it should be good too.  Ron Howard is the executive producer and a few more of the Parenthood cast are: Peter Krause (Six Feet Under), Craig T. Nelson (Family Stone and Coach), Dax Shepard (Baby Mama), Bonnie Bedelia (Heart Like a Wheel), Monica Potter, Erika Christensen (Traffic), Sarah Ramos, Mae Whitman (In Treatment), Joy Bryant (Antwone Fisher), and Miles Heizer (ER).  Set your Tivo!

Heart #15 goes to...Life Unexpected

Heart #15 goes to Life UnexpectedIt's the CW's newest hit show which has been compared to The Gilmore Girls - one of my favorite shows of all time.
 IMDB's plot summary:
Fifteen year-old Lux has spent her life going from foster family to foster family. She has finally decided to become an emancipated minor. During her journey through the legal maze, Lux finds her biological father, 30-something Nate "Baze" Bazile, who lives above a bar and is astonished to learn he has a daughter. Lux learns that her mother is Cate Cassidy, a star on local radio, along with her boyfriend, Ryan Thomas. A judge decides to grant temporary custody of Lux to Baze and Cate instead of emancipating her.

I had the first five episodes waiting on my DVR because I just had too many other shows to catch up on.  I also like to watch a few episodes back to back when a series just starts because then I can really get into it and decide if I like it.  And after 5 episodes I have decided that I really like it.  Not as much as I do The Gilmore Girls but there is one striking similarity that screams out Gilmore right away.  When Nate's parents, who are filthy rich, find out about Nate having a daughter who has just come into his life after 15 years...they insist on a family dinner.  If Nate does not comply, they take away the Bar that they gave him.  Is this going to be a running theme...forced dinners?  It's such a Gilmore thing to do.  But I do like the show and I will continue watching it.
The other thing that I love about the show is the theme song.  It's sung by a woman named Rain Perry.  The title song is called "Beautiful Tree" off of her album "Cinderblock Bookshelves".
If you click on the video at the top of the post above you can listen to the song.
DD-I know you're gonna like it :)

Heart #14 goes to...UGG "Elsey" Boots

Heart #14 goes to UGG "Elsey" Boots.  I guess this cold weather is making me blog about boots and keeping my feet warm and comfy.  These boots kept me warm last season and this season as well.  I have them in black but I posted them in brown because the picture shows up nicer.  When people think UGG, they think "boots that make you look like an Ewok".  At least that's what my sister says.  Don't get me wrong, I love the classic UGG flat boots, I  have three pairs.  They are the only boots I can wear in the winter without socks and my feet never feel the cold.  But UGG has so many other cute boots.  Click the link above and it will take you to Zappos where you can find these adorable boots!

Softened butter, to grease baking dish

Heart #7 goes to...Vera Bradley pocketbook

Heart #7 goes to my Vera Bradley pocketbook in the Imperial Toile pattern.  This is the latest addition to my collection, we'll get into the others later.  I love it because it's small enough so that I won't fill it with too many things, but big enough so that I can carry all the important things.  It has two wraparound pockets on the outside.  I like to keep my cell phone and keys in those pockets because it's convenient and easy to get to.  The bag goes for $48.  A woman in the store told me that she had no problem removing the insert in the bottom of the bag and throwing the bag in the washing machine.  It came out clean and good as new!

Heart #4 goes to...Ugg "Corinth" boots

Heart #4 goes to my UGG "Corinth" wedge boots.  I had to blog about them today, because it is freezing out and I wore them today.  My feet were comfortable and warm!  They are worth every penny of the $275 price tag.  I have to say that I did get them on sale at Lord and Taylor for about $200 including tax.  Lord and Taylor was having a huge sale and they allowed customers to use their coupon towards the purchase of Uggs, which they do not normally do.  Click the link above to find them at shoes.com.  They are offering free shipping right now!

Heart #3 goes to ...Dillon Rogers bracelets

Heart #3 goes to my Dillon Rogers leather bracelet.  There are so many different types to choose from.  There are thin, medium, and wide bracelets that can be personalized with your own message or you can create your own.  I have a leather message bracelet with the phrase "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger".  It was a gift from my sister in law and I absolutely love it.  It has really cool beads that hang in the back too.  Here's a picture of the back of the bracelet....
You have to check out the website because there are just too many different types to describe as well as necklaces and belts.

Heart #2 goes to...Musher's Secret

Heart #2 goes to Musher's Secret. Being a pet owner, I'm always looking for a product to keep my dog happy, healthy and safe.
Musher's Secret is a dense, barrier wax that forms a breathable bond with your dog's paws. Developed in Canada for use with sledding dogs,it provides tenacious protection even in the most extreme conditions.
I use this product every winter and it definitely works. It protects my dog's paw pads from the cold and especially from the salt. I just rub a little on each paw before we go out and his paws do not get irritated by the salt. A must for every dog owner.

Heart #1 goes to...the Amazon Kindle

The first heart goes to the Amazon Kindle. What can I say about this item? I absolutely had to have it the moment I saw a girl reading one in the waiting room of a doctor's office. I had to ask what it was because I had never seen it before and had never heard of it either. Once she explained it to me I was hooked and I had to have one. And so I thank my darling hubby for buying it for me.  He loves that fact that the bookcase is no longer overflowing.
Pictured above is the first generation Kindle, which I own and I love it and I'm faithful to it.
My sister in law recently got the second generation Kindle which looks like this...

OK, so it looks sleek and the buttons make more sense but for right now I'm a first generation Kindle kinda girl. There's nothing like packing for a trip and taking my Kindle filled with books just waiting to be read. Leaves alot of room in the suitcase for more shoes!
