Heart #33 goes to...Sam Edelman "Flair" Clogs!  I got my new Bloomingdale's catalog today and as usual I go right to the shoes.  Clogs are the "must-have" item for the spring.  I always loved my clogs years ago and now this season there are so many different styles that I love so I thought I'd just pick one favorite to blog about - for now.  I love the buckle and motorcycle inspired chains and I love this brown color.  They also come in black and they sell for $150.  My wish list is growing!

Heart #32 goes to...Greenies Pill Pockets!  Starting today my little furry best friend needs to take medication for an enlarged heart :(  I found a pamphlet at the vet's office for Greenies Pill Pockets and headed straight to the pet store.  Past experiences with medication have shown that my dog does not like pills.  I have hidden the pills in all sorts of food and he somehow manages to eat around the tablet, swallow the food and spit out the pill.  This product worked just fine.  I've always trusted the Greenies company for good quality products and once again they delivered.  The pockets are made with real beef and they are really soft with a hole on one side.  You stick the pill inside and squeeze together the top until it closes.  Needless to say, he loved it and no pill was spit out.  This is a must for all of you pet lovers who have to administer medication!  There is also a second size that fits capsules.

Heart #31 goes to...Sur La Table's Diamond Ice Mold!  Now who doesn't to look down into the glass they are drinking from and see this huge diamond ice cube?  Sur La Table is a really cool website that I love to browse through, kinda reminds me of Williams Sonoma, and I happened to stumble upon this product.  I think this would also be a great idea for a man looking to pop the question in a unique way.  Drop the ring into the mold, add water, freeze and serve!  It sells for $6.95.

Heart #28 goes to...Williams Sonoma's Professional Multi Chopper!  Today was leftover meatloaf day!  And what better side dish than home made french fries (with a little bit of Truffle Oil!).  This handy piece of necessary kitchen equipment sells for $39.95 and is well worth it.  My husband and I love to make home made french fries and there is nothing more time consuming than cutting potatoes into french fries.  This multi chopper makes perfect fries in no time.  I tried to download a video that they have on their website showing you all of the different uses (onion rings, lemon slices, lime wedges etc..)  but I couldn't do it.  Click the blue link here and watch the video midway down the page.

Heart #27 goes to...Williams Sonoma's Classic Meatloaf Starter! I barely just finished eating this and I had to blog about it. I was in the mall yesterday heading towards the parking lot when I smelled this delicious aroma just calling out to me. I followed the smell all the way to Williams Sonoma, quickly asked the girl who greeted me what they were making, and ran to the meatloaf samples. I can't even begin to tell you how good it was and it was only a little sample in a muffin cup. Well, I grabbed the Meatloaf Starter, paid my $12.95 and couldn't wait to make it at home. The mix contains California tomatoes, sweet onions, extra virgin olive oil, roasted garlic and traditional seasonings. This is so easy to make, it's the waiting that will drive you mad. I've never stared at an oven so much in my life. It couldn't bake fast enough. But it was well worth the wait. This is really good, really moist meatloaf. Now hubby and I are stuffed and very happy sitting on the couch watching tv.

Here's how easy it is to make...

Preheat oven to 375. Combine Classic Meatloaf Starter in a bowl with 3 eggs, and 1 1/4 cup breadcrumbs, let sit for 15 minutes. Add two pounds of ground beef, or you can combine beef, pork, lamb..whatever you want. Put it into your meatloaf pan, bake for 50 minutes. Brush 1/4 cup ketchup over the top, bake for another 10 minutes. Let sit for about 15-20 minutes. Enjoy!

You see where all of that waiting can make you go nuts.

Heart #25 goes to...eBags Packing Cubes.  I had done a few online surveys, got some reward points, and was able to shop eBags.com.  I stumbled upon these packing cubes and thought they were interesting.  I got the red cubes for myself and green ones for my hubby.  I think they are great.  When we go on trips I am able to really sort our clothes and fit them in the suitcase in a neater way.  When you get to your destination, you can just slip them right into drawers and keep everything organized.  I bought two cube sets each and I use them to separate socks, undergarments, t-shirts, even shoes.  They have handles and a mesh top to give them some air.  I even use the larger size for a small airline pillow and blanket and use it as a carry on.  The possibilities are endless.  They sell for about $24 dollars and come in a few different colors.

Heart #23 goes to...Julie & Julia.  I had the day off yesterday and decided to watch this movie, starring Meryl Streep as Julia Child and Amy Adams as Julie Powell.  I really, really liked it.  It was sort of like a split movie.  One part was based on the life of Julia Child and the other part about Julie Powell who decided to write a blog about cooking all 524 recipes from Child's book "Mastering the Art of French Cooking" in 365 days.  So back and forth the movie goes from the lated 1940's in France to 2002 in Queens, NY.  I was never a fan of Julia Child but seeing this movie makes me want to get her cookbook and try a few recipes...Boeuf Bourguignon anyone?  Click the first blue link above to see a clip from the movie.  Meryl Streep never disappoints.  Click the second blue link for a recipe.

Heart #18 goes to OPI's You Don't Know Jacques nail polish.  Hot trend alert for Spring 2010 - the nail color is Putty.  It's a warm neutral color.  There are plenty of different brands that have this color but I chose OPI because the name of the polish was cool.  People Style Watch suggests "keeping nails on the short side, in the classic squoval shape (square with rounded edges)".  Somebody needs a manicure soon!

Heart #16 goes to Parenthood, a new series on NBC premiering on Tuesday, March 2nd.  I wanted to blog about this show before it started so that nobody would miss the first episode.  I know this show is going to be good...Lauren Graham (Lorelai Gilmore) of the Gilmore Girls is on it!!  I loved her on the Gilmore Girls and from what I've been reading about this show it should be good too.  Ron Howard is the executive producer and a few more of the Parenthood cast are: Peter Krause (Six Feet Under), Craig T. Nelson (Family Stone and Coach), Dax Shepard (Baby Mama), Bonnie Bedelia (Heart Like a Wheel), Monica Potter, Erika Christensen (Traffic), Sarah Ramos, Mae Whitman (In Treatment), Joy Bryant (Antwone Fisher), and Miles Heizer (ER).  Set your Tivo!

Heart #15 goes to Life Unexpected.  It's the CW's newest hit show which has been compared to The Gilmore Girls - one of my favorite shows of all time.

 IMDB's plot summary:

Fifteen year-old Lux has spent her life going from foster family to foster family. She has finally decided to become an emancipated minor. During her journey through the legal maze, Lux finds her biological father, 30-something Nate "Baze" Bazile, who lives above a bar and is astonished to learn he has a daughter. Lux learns that her mother is Cate Cassidy, a star on local radio, along with her boyfriend, Ryan Thomas. A judge decides to grant temporary custody of Lux to Baze and Cate instead of emancipating her.

I had the first five episodes waiting on my DVR because I just had too many other shows to catch up on.  I also like to watch a few episodes back to back when a series just starts because then I can really get into it and decide if I like it.  And after 5 episodes I have decided that I really like it.  Not as much as I do The Gilmore Girls but there is one striking similarity that screams out Gilmore right away.  When Nate's parents, who are filthy rich, find out about Nate having a daughter who has just come into his life after 15 years...they insist on a family dinner.  If Nate does not comply, they take away the Bar that they gave him.  Is this going to be a running theme...forced dinners?  It's such a Gilmore thing to do.  But I do like the show and I will continue watching it.
The other thing that I love about the show is the theme song.  It's sung by a woman named Rain Perry.  The title song is called "Beautiful Tree" off of her album "Cinderblock Bookshelves".

Heart #14 goes to UGG "Elsey" Boots.  I guess this cold weather is making me blog about boots and keeping my feet warm and comfy.  These boots kept me warm last season and this season as well.  I have them in black but I posted them in brown because the picture shows up nicer.  When people think UGG, they think "boots that make you look like an Ewok".  At least that's what my sister says.  Don't get me wrong, I love the classic UGG flat boots, I  have three pairs.  They are the only boots I can wear in the winter without socks and my feet never feel the cold.  But UGG has so many other cute boots.  Click the link above and it will take you to Zappos where you can find these adorable boots!

Heart #12 goes to Cracked Corn and Cheese Squares!  Mmmm Yummy!  This recipe is so easy to make and so delicious.  I got this recipe from my sister in law a few years ago and it is really good.  Hubby and I made it recently to bring along to a Super Bowl party along with homemade chili and it was a big hit.  It's a Rachael Ray recipe and if you click the link it will take you to the Food Network site, but I will include the recipe here:

Ingredients

1 (8 1/2 ounce) package corn muffin mix, mixed to package directions

Softened butter, to grease baking dish

1/3 pound Monterey Jack or Pepper Jack, cut into 1/4 inch dice

1/2 cup frozen corn kernels

2 scallions, thinly sliced

Directions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. 

Grease and 8-inch square baking dish with butter. 

Stir cheese, corn and scallions into packaged mixed corn muffin batter. 

Pour batter into baking dish and bake at 400 degrees until golden, 15-18 minutes.

Heart #10 goes to the Illuminate necklace from Lisa Leonard designs.  I love black chandeliers so when I saw this pendant I decided to put it on my wish list.  I love it.  I know my husband reads my blog, so this is a great way for me to hint at all of the things that I want, plus my birthday is coming up!
